Well if folks had a mass exodus from big banks to credit unions. We need shorter terms limits for elected officials (senate/ house of representatives) because they the longer one stays in more likely they're going to sell out to one thing. More people need to be involved in the political process, even if you vote for fictional characters at least you voted. ETC ETC ETC

At this stage. What you need to do about it is hope that they keep dancing as long as the music is playing and kick the can down the road as far as they can. The alternatives are terrifying and coming closer every day and they aren't good. War, poverty and death, who wants that?

    wow... that was poignant :)

I think we need to continue to keep reverting back to including the barter system more, keep being ingenuity, keep net neutrality alive so we can make sure everyone is well informed of the newest brand of bullisht, invest in tangible things (not just gold and land) and support ourselves with things like co-ops more for healthy food needs... this helps us slowly back out of feeding into the Wall St. markets/world economy so much while allowing Americans (well anyone who did this) to be financially okay, still covered in what they need with or without gov't assistance.

The people do not use the powers they are granted enough and it takes lone wolf radicals doing one wrong thing to finally kick every one else in the *** and get them into action...

Lets be realistic here. I dont have anything to barter. I've got a bunch of technology tied to moores taw that is already obsolete and a car that depreciates nearly as fast. If we go back to barter, I'll be killing for food within 2 weeks because I haven't got jack and I'm not going to die. Lone wolf radials are not gonna make any difference. At this point even a full scale revolution or civil war would just be collateral and an acceptable outcome for the TPTB. Look at the CIA etc attack on Syria. You think we could do any better against an enemy like that? You're kidding yourself. Every move we made to fight that manufactured intelligence operation we'd be kicking our own *****. Actually defeating the US/CIA/Darpa/Allies global hegemony as an unorganised group of civilians is damn near impossibility. Our chances of effecting change at this junction are virtually nill. And any change we could effect would dramatically impact our standard of living. See my orginal answer and hope that remains the case. A shift one way or the other will screw us in ways we can't even currently imagine.

I never mentioned anything nearly as violent as I think you are imagining. Interesting as that would be to see. There are some problems with your CIA ideas, partially because it would go against official CIA ideals to operate within the US and also I'm not so sure who you think 'we vs them' are. I think the depreciation of your oil driven conveniences own you more than you own them, it doesn't sound like a healthy relationship. There's also the problem of the US forces as a whole... assuming the United States went to full scale civil war without using dirty bombs or tricks, imagine what that would do to the world... how f'ed up things would have to be elsewhere in the world as a whole for us to not be able to manage our own backyard without the bulk of our military... it raises a lot of questions about what the rest of the world would be up to. I'm not sure why you decided to tear into me expressing my ideas but you sound like the sort who would get gunned down early in a civil war. Perhaps you should try going through Basic, figure a thing or two out about how the war economy works while you're at it :P

Time to turn off the Great American Greed Machine.

But it won't happen. And probably can't. We're doomed!

You just blew it. When you start providing breitbart (note, no capital letter which indicates no respect), you just lost all credibility.

Don't be trying to pass along andrew breitbart as an unbiased source of reporting. He has taken his examples for propaganda directly from Joseph Goebbels.
