Resolved Question

It's been studied and not a fact that cats control people - any willing to admit their cat controls things?

Meaning they decide when you awake, feed them, pet them, put them outside, change the litter box etc.

I have three and they rule this house. And they know it. One of them has a new favorite past time of getting up on my desk and knocking stuff over if he doesn't get what he wants. No doubt cats are smarter than most people's kids. And cuter.

Heck so do my kids! They control everything too, so why not the cat, dog and everyone else for that matter?
LOL

I feel bad for people who hate cats. I have two. They're adorable, playful and loving. They are a good addition to the house. Anyways, sometimes when my cat "Boo" is hungry in the morning, she will come snuggle with me and wake me to get up. Also, my other cat sits next to the shower and waits for me to get out so he can lick the water off the shower curtain. Weirdos. But they are like children. So cute

Well, they're just like human babies! Would we think any less of them for being needy? It doesn't mean less because they are animals, they need our care and love and kitties do appreciate it. It's just hard with their code of pride to admit it!

a tip attributed to Robert A. Heinlein: women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get use to the idea.

i Can't stand cats...i won't torture them or anything but i think they're the most useless thing on the earth...and snobby.sorry...no answer to ur question...just really hate cats. but yes, as a matter of fact i htink that some people do let their cats control them to a certain extent...i guess maybe it takesa certain person to own a cat...own that likes to give up a little control every now and then,

I've owned cats. And all cats have different personalities.

Some are aloof, and only come out to eat. Then go hide. They get upset when there's no food in their dish, and when the cat litter box isn't changed (they tend to use the bathtub, your bed...etc..to let you know...)

But, some...DO control the household. "Feed me, pet me, change my litter box, I'll take MY half out of the middle of the bed..." etc, etc, etc. And if you don't do what they "ask", their in your face. It's almost as if they are saying, "Well, you got me. Take care of me!"

So, definitely, cats do control the household to some extent. They are independent, and they aren't embarrassed to ask for what they need.
