.... I feel like I just got some insight into what the guy I fell out with was thinking...

You see, he was flirting with me, though he was still just a friend. And then over the summer, never replied to an email I sent.

I thought: That he was ignoring me and wanted space, since he got a girlfriend a few weeks later, but still never replied to me.

In reality: His computer broke; he couldn't reply to me.

He grew up in a house where a friend can stop by at any time, just to say hi. I grew up with my mother being a neat freak, and needing notice to people stopping by.

So... we talked once before I graduated. He still lives a few streets away from me, and I regret the fact that the both of us have never argued, and yet neither of us are moving towards starting the friendship back up. He was a very good friend- at first I would sit next to him on the school bus, say hi to him. He was new, and seemed like he needed a friend. So I slowly became friends with him for about a year.

Moral of the story? Life does NOT have to be this complicated! Just drop her a message and say "Hi, we haven't seen each other in a while! Would you like to hang out and catch up?".

Forget your assumptions about what might have happened- maybe she was going through a rough patch in her life and withdrew socially. I've certainly been there. Whatever the reason, you can try to get past it. A friendship lost is sad, and always worth the effort of trying to patch it back up, ESPECIALLY if you just don't know why it fell apart!

I actually cannot get ahold of her, we were supposed to hang out earlier but she bailed out without even contacting me.

Best Answer

Try again. Ask her what happened; if she's got an actual reason, keep trying a few more times. Otherwise, stay away, if she just seems to be putting farther away.

Best Answer

I do want to talk to her, but I will not go out of my way to contact her, I've already put too much time and emotion in this friendship.

Do what you will. Hope all works out for you.
