Being a single mom of three I can tell you it's not easy darlin' but you are strong and you can do it. Just plan activities in an area that allows you to keep an eye on them. The library has story hour and we have a children's museum with a play area for younger ones that would allow me to sit and relax while they play. Mine are 2, 4 and 17 and although the older one does help out she's out and about so often that it's usually just me and the little ones. I avoid the malls or restaurants if alone and just stick to parks where they can run and play.

Find me if you need an ear or shoulder... you'll do just fine.

In Australia we don't let married men with young families on the front line

It's HIS deployment so what is it that YOU have to survive? Being in a safe home in a safe country while he is in a war zone where his life is at great risk? I find wives or girlfriends who always act like THEY are the ones who are going off to war to face life threatening perils and it's so selfish and heartless to me. MY concern would be as to whether or not HE will be safe and how HE will survive and HE is the one who'll be away from his children. HE IS THE IMPORTANT ONE!!!

Tens of millions of women have survived much worse circumstances than these, my dear. Imagine what it was like in the Civil War when the men went away and most didn't come back for 4 years, or they came back with injuries or in a pine box. Imagine what it was like for young wives and mothers during WW II when the guys sometimes didn't get their mail for months and months and they didn't even know they had a kid.

If you're healthy and your kids are healthy and strong, just put one foot in front of the other and send positive thoughts out to your husband or boyfriend, and get on with life. If you see your kids as burdens, think about the fact that there are thousands of women who can't have children and would love to have your problem.
