Ive been pondering this for awhile. Im going to college. But should i choose to go to west point academy, or no?

I have 2 dream jobs. Going into the marines or army as an officer after going to a military academy or college, or go to a normal college and get a degree in criminal justice, and go into the police, in which i would hope to apply and or get recomended or transfered into FBI or atleast advance high enough into the ranks and become a detective in homicide unit. I have a strong stomach, im tough, strong, i want to make a difference, and i want to make this world, or help it anyway, to become a better place. Please help me choose. I would greatly appreciate it.

To be honest with you the Military will eventually give you far better options including FBI, NSA, Secret Service, CIA.

Funny that you said that because i had a third dream: the CSI. But i gave that up. Almost a pipe dream.

If you're fortunate enough to get into one of the federal military academies you won't have to worry about student loans.

I'd say go for it. You can transition into any of the other careers you've named after the service obligation is over. Former military are respected in all of those fields. Best wishes!

I once tried to go into a military academy, but then I took an arrow to the knee....

ha ha ha sorry, but your name just made me do it! I suggest normal college if you're not sure if you're ready for the military academy.

thanks man and ha skyrim. My nerdish weakness. I believe i am ready, but im kind of getting misdirected by the very high demands of west point. Day starts at 6am and ends at 12. Very very busy schedule.
