All the time because my lady and I roll on the floor all the time and we don't want our night clothes dirty. hehe :)

I do it the old fashioned way, vacum sticky tape and a mild solution of washing derergent in a spray bottle and sponge usually once a month. I have a general steam cleaner gizmo for carpets and floors but I'm scared of it. It's like a kettle with a hose and attachments, I don't know if you keep it plugged in or let it boil away.

I'm like you in the OCD cleaning department, Princess, but I never was a s bad as you are! As for the carpets, years ago my wife decided that we should pull them up to show of our beautiful hardwood floors. Now I can see every speck of dirt and dust on the floors!

Yup! I live in a beautiful apartment and I'll be damned if I let it go..never did with anywhere I've been. I've always been. Even when I've lived with 35 women in a rehab for a year. I could not control their sloppiness, but I had control over mine. But it sickened me..the way they lived...I can't even go into it..they were sickening, and a lot of these girls were raised with fine parents...just needing a rehab.....

When the kids were young, they knew I didnt like messes, but if I left a spoon in the sink overnight, I would wake up to a sinkful of dirty dishes. I used to constantly take guff(hows that?) for throwing their drinks away - Dad threw out my drink - again! - However, if I left the drink on the counter it would usually stay there until I threw it out the next morning....

I've never had carpets, only hardwood floors. My friends used to tease me because my OCD at one time was so bad that nobody could walk safely on my floors, they were waxed so often. I'm singlehandedly supporting the Murphy's oil soap people! :-P

When I was a kid, my mother had WHITE carpets and we were only allowed on the carpet barefoot.
