Technology and the Internet have made self-publishing realistic and relatively easy.

Research it. Companies exist that can help you, and you pay them depending on how little or how much they do.

The best idea isn't to look for a publisher-most manuscripts only get read by bored receptionists..The thing to do is to find a literary agent, who will have contacts within the industry and know which people it would be best to approach with your work...You can find the ones looking for new clients in any writers/novelists magazine...

Hey,no problem..There are magazines for writers available in the big newsagents/bookshops-in England WH Smith stocks the most...literary agents seeking new clients advertise in these..Its certainly preferable to wasting a lot of time and resources putting multiple manuscripts together which will only sit in a storeroom before being recycled..Your agent will probably just take a brief synopsis and a couple of sample chapters into a publishing house to pitch your work to them..All the best,I wish you every success...
