Job interview question... what should i expect? (details)

i had a job interview last monday.. it was kind of short... the panel was 3 people, 2 will be my superiors in the job and one from HR.. they all kept writing down during the whole interview.. occasionally making eye contact with me.. the HR lady was the one who did most eye contact with me.. the interview wasn't very long.. but in the end the HR lady asked the the superior: if you don't mind me asking.. if Ms peach was not chosen for this position, do you mind if we gave her a temporary assignment? the superior said sure ok.. and the HR lady asked me if i mind and i said no.... i heard nothing so far.. what should i expect?

They're probably still screening and interviewing people. Chances are that they're doing background checks on all of the candidates that they feel they may hire. The hiring process can be slow, especially if it's a large company - which that one seems to be, from your description. I would give it until Monday or Tuesday, then give a polite phone call, saying you are very interested in the job and just checking in, seeking updates. Showing interest after the interview usually helps.

Does it?? I thought it would make me look needy... I just hate my current boss so much and I want to leave anywhere.. I hope they choose me for the position I applied to! But I will have to accept the temporary one if that's all they had ;(

I was always told that to give a call back showed that you're very interested.

It's not the army and your gender is irrelevant. The first two rules proclaim that I can't talk about it any more.

I'd offer you a job, but I wouldn't be able to pay you until after I check my lotto ticket.
