    I think in some computers, sound doesn't go through the HDMI port, just video ... I could be wrong though ...

    If you get sound from some apps but not other, you need to check sound settings and make sure proper driver is selected. If you get no sound at all it is your TV. It just happened with my crappy Olevia TV. It turned out sound via HDMI doesn't work. You can also check forums, people often have solutions or at least you will know if to waste time in making it work or not.

    you probably have to check it up with the computer coz thats the mains cord are coming from check the settings of the speakers or the sounds.
