Six months ago Mitt Romney was the front republican frontrunner. In fact he never hasn't been. You watch too much network news which tends to slant left. Look at the numbers instead, and there was never a time when Mitt didn't pretty much have a solid lead. He certainly had a stronger lead than Obama did at any point in the nomination cycle until the very end. (Mitt wrapped up his nomination a full month before Obama. That's a fact.) Yes, there are divisions in the GOP - just like there are divisions in the democratic party - but the network news doesn't put a magnifying glass on them.

Do you deny all the Republican opposition to Romney, now they all back him..... please! I do not forget that easily. And I remember Romney as a Governor.... he was terrible! Back Romney's record. I dare you!

Well, lets see. Unemployment went down. They balanced the state budget. The economy grew. None of those things have happened with Obama in the white house. Not one of them. Past that, read my message again. I didn't deny opposition. In fact, it's stated right there in the last line. I also made the point that Romney had much more support amongst the GOP during this election cycle at that time than Obama had at a similar time in his. Since I went to a few Hillary fundraisers, I can tell you that there were some people who were pretty solidly opposed to a senator with half of a term in office and some questionable business connections taking the nomination then.

Condoleeza Rice seems more Presidential than anyone I've seen speak at their convention so far.

You must have missed Ryan's speech and Romney isn't til tomorrow. I caught Romney at a fundraiser in Seattle about 6 months ago, and he can campaign. There's reason he won the governorship in a democratic state. The guy isn't as eloquent as Mr. teleprompter, but he's good. (Glad you liked Condi though. I saw her about 4 years ago at UW and have been a fan ever since. She is just so smart and classy.)

I lived in Ma. I know what he did ( or better to the point, didn't do) as Governor.

Asocial - you mean things like he didn't raise taxes, didn't deficit spend, and didn't take a salary for his time in office?

No one is owed success...earn it and don't expect the government to "grant" it to you.

So by earn, do you mean have daddy make it and give it to you? Then parlay that into shutting down factories to make a few more dollars?

I mean get your own job on your own and make a life on what you can earn now. Better yourself along the way to work your way up. What other way is there?

I liked the NM Governor guarding a bingo parking lot with a .357 magnum.
