what a great question ! and so tempting to say i'd change a whole heap of things..but....as many have said already, we wouldnt be the people we are today without going through the things we have. i for sure would rather of not gone through them and still be the person i am today like iluvmypup said, but alas we have to endure all of what life has to throw at us and feel every damn bit of it ! i trust what life has to throw at me tho, purely because for every 'bad' thing that has happened to me, its pushed me into something good, eventually lol

Going thru what I went thru got me to know what I know now, so no I wouldn't change a thing. I think...

I still play with this theoretical question every now and then. It used to be yes, but now it is an absolute no! '

There a two dates I would have gone back to:

12/2/91 --- the day I departed on my first 6 month deployment while I was in the Navy. I just choose this date, but it could be any during this time frame. I would only pick this if I wanted to make the make the Navy my career. There are professional things I would have done differently.

12/27/97 --- the day I was discharged from the Navy after 9 year of service. Here I would have not chosen the path of least resistance and pursued a job, but would have further my education in a field I enjoy. And hopefully would be a different career field at this point in time.

But all this is for naught; since the birth of my son over 3 years ago turned my world upside down. Changing my past would mean, my son would not be here today. And my son is the greatest blessing in the world.

There are a million things I would love to change but then I wouldn't be the person I am now, so I can live with being unable to change the past.

without a doubt. I would have changed so much. I wouldn't have dated a certain someone...such a waste of time. But on the other hand, I learned a LOT! I will never make those mistakes again. If I hadn't gone through it, I might not know to avoid those kinds of situations, but I still wish I could learn everything but not have gone through it.

Yes, I would. I would have waited a while before I got married and enjoyed being on my own. I also would have gone to college.

This is a question that is most likely to arise in those we hours of the morning when the demons of the past come creeping back.

It does seem a difficult question to answer because for ever stupid decision I reflect on, my life took then took a remarkably different turn that ultimately that proved more successful in the.end.

Every unexpected unemployment situation became a vastly improved opportunity elsewhere. Decisions I thought then, and still think of as thoughtless mistakes, proved again in the final anaylsis to be an improvement.

I guess, I would have to say , yes, I would live my life over again the same way. I either suffered from incredibly good luck or my life was preordained by some power beyond myself. I will of course never know.

Oh yes. And while I like who and where I am today quite well, who knows where an altered path might have lead me.
But mostly it is some of the things that I have done that have affected others that I would change.

Mulling over questions like this one can be quite disconcerting and we do have to remember that we did the best we could with what we had going for us at the time, and this includes immaturity.

i would have done WAY more to not have gotten fat.

i would have probably not dated half or most of the men i have dated.

i would have begun taking anti-depressants in high school and then hopefully been able to have a social life and stay away at college-- this is my biggest regret. i normally don't regret but i still can't live with the fact that i did not have a "normal" college experience-- dropping out, then county college, then transferring and commuting. i wish i could have made more college friends.
