Not alot ... unless I carried bats and guns with me when I went places as usually the bullies had friends and if your tried to stop it you became the next victum. Teachers were always worthless.

I sure wouldn't stand by like a coward , I'd pull up the bully on their actions .
I do it now as an adult .

Intervene and beat the bully even if it meant me getting a bigger beating.
That way I know I tried and the other Child was able to escape the situation.
Maybe that's why I get into arguments with cops.
Even though there are good ones,
MANY are the biggest adult bullies you will ever find.
And I tell them to their face and they don't seem to like hearing the truth.

Having been bullied all of my life, and knowing myself the way I do, I realize after reading this question I would feel relief that it wasn't me. That isn't to say that I wouldn't put myself into the mix to try and even up the odds, I would have, did, and do. I still would've felt relief that I wasn't the prime target of the assault. It's an ugly feeling that is difficult to shake. I'd much rather join the fray and get the crap beat out of me for sticking my nose into someone else's business than to be the target.

Record the incident using a gadget and use it as evidence. Then, show it to those who may concern such as teachers & my parents.

Considering that I was the one who was "bullied." I would do nothing. When I was young. I was picked on for being smart and black. From my young age, it never bothered me. It didn't bother me because I knew it only out of ignorance they acted as they did. And I felt sorry for them.

Still never gave them the right to victimize you. If you consider certain groups in the south back in the 50's and still today, these are what bullies grow up to become.Discusting people right through.

I was a target not a victim. I never gave them the satisfaction. In the end, we wound up as good friends.
