The narrative is that guys like long straight hair. Typical eurocentric nonsense. :D

What's a eurocentric? I can't find it in Webster's New World Dictonary? Is it a self-centered guy from europe?

It all depends on how a woman carry herself. Long hair gives a more feminine look but short hair makes a girl cute.

Some men with traditional mentality think that women should have a long her though.

Can I put my own thing down...Nooo... I have to put it under Unconquered... So... this is for everyone... Not just that response... So OK. Suppose... just suppose that this is all influenced (I can't spell) by us all being very young... back at the time when we all were trying to find out if we were boys or girls? Yes... HEY? Stop that! Yes, there was a time when we didn't know this (Stop the cat calls) at a time when we were around three years old... Do you remember being three? I do... linens...giant linens hanging in the breeze. This is the time of adventure... why am I a guy or a girl. And what defined us as guys and gals... How we looked. And guys had short hair and mute earthy colors and girls wore flowery colors and curls... which means long hair... RIGHT! SO, when we go through puberty, don't we have this somewhere in our minds... it's hard to forget your subconscience. Right? So, aren't we hard wired to recognize the opposite sex as those norms...which would mean...guys are comfortable when girls wear their hair long and...girls? Aren't you more comfortable when guys where there hair...short? The classic mans style? We can all vary this. We get smart and know that girls can have short hair and guys have long... yet, isn't there a "Click." A place where everything makes sense? How many girls ONLY go out with guys with long hair? How many go out with girls with short hair. How many of us ONLY prefer the opposite? The short boyish hair cuts of a page boy Dorothy Hamilton style, or just long pony tails on men that might have cuter hair that you when they undo it? Not many. Which might convey an idea... that we are hardwired for sexual stereotypes? Long hair on girls and short hair on boys. That raises an interesting question? How can we rely on our modern perception that it just doesn't matter? Only 100 years ago, girls who cut their hair short in Victorian times were thought to be punished or discraced. Did we really evolve that much? How can you know... Ladies? How many of you actually conducted a survey of long verses short hair with guys...and took the tally with an objective mind. How many guys actually thought about this thoroughly? I think that we guys have a disposition to long hair...because of cultural and sociological conditioning and we have an unconsciencous need to find that. Ladies adapt to the long hair thing with guys... though short hair could permeate your subconscience. So, If this is true? Why do men suddenly encourage women to where their hair long when they decide to try a new style and allow it to grow... do they really say NO outright and complain? IF a guy has long hair... and suddenly decides to go with a convensional short style, how many women AS A WHOLE get really bent out of shape? HOW many quickly adapt to the shorter hairstyle and like it? Isn't it possible we have preconceived notions that guys where short hair and women wear long...and even though our society is telling and teaching us that it doesn't matter, that this simple concept thrown to us down the ages still applies?

I have relatively short hair. The longest I ever wear it nowadays is shoulder length. When a man meets me, he sees it, so he either likes it or doesnt. If he asks for a date, I'm assuming he does.

I like it as it is...

It depends upon your face. My husband LOVED my long hair, in fact that's what attracted him to me. I just recently cut it short, an A symmetrical cut and he loves it more than the long hair. I was really scared to cut it, but I did and I'm glad. I personally think that short hair is more trendy and looks better, but to each their own.
