Ladies, what kind of personality type would you prefer in your female coworkers (office type environment): cheerful,>>

bubbly, friendly (genuinely) to everyone, makes a point to meet and get to know everybody, or more serious, quiet, calm, polite to all, but only truly friendly with those who are friends? I realize there is good in both personality types, but just wondering.

I think th key is to be authentic in whatever you are. and be consitent. I prefer ones that want to work togeth and wish to contribute to the whole be it social or work related.

I agree with the authenticity too. I am by nature more calm and reserved, but am friendly, and don't have a problem with making the effort to be more open than I am at comfort level. I've been in all sorts of different work environments, some that care more about skill and competency, and others that apparently care more about personality than the competency and skill of the person (which in my field is actually kinda scary), and sometimes I wonder if it's just preferable to just default to being more outgoing. (Always a consideration of some of us quieter folk).

Two kinds of people that make me nervous in these situations...the ones who smile ALL the time, no matter what and the ones who NEVER smile at all and frown at you ALL the time as if you were doing something disreputable. 100% either way makes me nervous.

hee hee, I don't think I"ve ever met anyone who smiles all the time, but for the ones who never smile, at least they're consistent, and I tend to leave 'em alone.

sure makes for better times! I work in a pretty serious and stressful environment, so, I definitely appreciate people who can keep things on the lighter side outside of working on cases.
