Speaking from experience I could never figure it out either. I do know that most women find a bit of aggressiveness attractive. Alpha males in the wild tend to get the herd while the passive ones don't get to reproduce. I don't know if that translates to jerkiness though. Biology baby! I also think woman are more evolved emotionally and at an earlier age then men. It may be a manifestation of frustration.
