Hydrogen is easily generated. Hydrogen generators have been sold in the US for about ten years to provide fuel for cutting torches. Hook it up to a hose and plug it in and light it as it comes out. Those guys sell for about $2500 USD. All they amount to is thin wires with high electrical current (amperage, not voltage) running through a thin layer of water. You can see the hydrogen being released. The problem comes in with storage of the gas and compressing it for use in an internal combustion engine. Hydrogen is scary powerful when it explodes. Nothing like driving down the road with a bomb strapped in the back.

Hydrogen, steam, electric,,,etc did have much research over the past 25+ years. I cannot state with authority to what extent the oil companies had a hand in it to slow down matters.
Steam engines were invented over a century ago....why could he not accept that?

not really. In fact water was used in steam engines in the days of old.

EDIT: Technically correct since you do in fact use water to run the engine

Still requires an energy source, ie, coal.

The future engine will run on Hydrogen, it's only emissions being water.

That still requires a heating element, however, such as coal.

They may even have the technology but I doubt it will ever be used.....to many high powered people that would lose a profit. Don't count on that ever happening.
