Every single member of Led Zeppelin were truly the greatest musicians in rock history. The Beatles had Paul McCartney, who was the greatest too. Lennon, ba
sed on his moderate commercial success after the Beatles breakup was more hype than anything else. Yes, John was good, but without Paul writing songs with him, he was "good" but not "great." George Harrison was also "good" but not "great." In fact, ba sed on Post Beatles careers, Harrison was on par with Lennon. Starkey, on drums was a very good drummer, better on drums than Lennon and Harrison on their respective musical instruments, but not on the same level as Zeppelin's drummer. Led Zeppelin is the greatest group of individual rock musicians ever to form a band in history. Just ask Pete Townsend. Like (1)
