Let's do Lunch....?

When someone say's 'Let's do Lunch', doesn't it sound kinda rude!

Whenever someone says 'lets do lunch' I always hear 'i really should pretend that we will meet again so am suggesting something very vague that neither of us will ever attend - or expect - or mention ever again' - I am usually right!!
