the best thing you can do is have a healthy balanced diet, and do some exercise.
that's the only real answer to loosing weight. How quick you loose the weight is up to how much exercise you do, and how well you stick to eating healthy.

Step away from the table. Drop the food, get out there walking and enjoy the scenery. It will do great things for your psyche too!

Go vegan and exercise regularly. Seriously. :) I lost 30 lbs (4 dress sizes) by eliminating animal products from my diet. It happened rather quickly as well. All of the sudden none of my clothes fit me anymore. :)

low carb/low sugar/ low sodium. Drink LOTS of water, & do some light jogging for an hour & light weight training every other day. Drink strong green tea. Eat six small meals (the size of two fists) a day, or eat every two hours until 6:30pm.
The result:
-You will lose from 5-10 lbs of water weight (which slows down the burning of fat) within the first two weeks.
-You will burn fat with light jogging, and sculpt your body with the light weights.
-You will be HUNGRY every two hours, because you sped up your metabolism to twice its burning power, but
-You will not be physically able to eat more than small portions of food, because
-You're stomach size will shrink so drastically! And
You will be ready for the summer swimming suit

btw 'diets' that make you want to eat less are KILLING and slowing down your metabolism---your body thinks its starving in the wilderness, and wants you to 'survive'. So when you go the whole day without eating anything, and then grab a cookie, its going straight to your gut, thighs, arms, hips, etc.

one thing that always seems to help a lot is avoiding eating past 7pm. and of course eating a healthy balanced diet. smaller portions is another big help. just become more aware of when you're full & hungry. and a little exercise can do some good as well. i've heard many claim that cutting soda out of their diet, alone, helps to shed a few pounds as well.

Dr. Atkins induction/low carb diet, gallon of water daily and a lot of pilates.

Good thing to do is change your lifestyle altogether. Eating habits, as well as an exercise plan to get your body moving. Don't starve yourself. Try to eat as healthy as you can WITHOUT over eating.
If you try to lose too fast you will find yourself very deprived and starved and it will backfire in your face. Balance it out. Walk all you can. Bike if you can. I have noticed biking really took my weight off FAST. Good luck!

Eat many small meals a day. Try not to eat in the 4 hours before bedtime. Eat more natural foods. Don't forget to move your body, too.

Going vegan WILL work, if you're up for it. It's not for everyone, though, and you need to educate yourself before you do it. I lost 30 lbs too quickly the first time I went vegan because I wasn't eating enough protein and fat. Be careful--but if it's done right, you'll feel great AND be doing something good for the environment.

If you can't go vegan, just think about eating closer to nature--foods that aren't packaged, don't have ingredients you can't pronounce, etc.
