    love grows to replace lust. Or if you let it judgement and resentment toward the person grows instead. Both people must choose love or end up heartbroken.

    Yes. Falling in love is easy; maintaining that level of love is hard. When one or both parties no longer choose to do so, either accidentally or intentionally, it will fade. Polished items lose their luster after wear and tear; so does the heart if one does not properly safeguard it.
