I really don't know. I really want the fairy tale, but I would bet most marriages are because of kids or acquiescence.

SeriouslySappy	Posted Jul 10th, 2009 at 12:53PM I don't think fairy tales ever exist in reality. Too many people probably do marry without realizing that. Marriage involves lots of compromises, the percentages always changing. Rated: +1Vote for this!

edenray	Posted Jul 10th, 2009 at 10:08AM there's all kinds of reason people get married but i venture to say more people marry out of convenience, like for health insurance and so on; as opposed to the "fairy tale". i mean seriously if you look at the history of marriage... and regardless of why you marry, the divorce rates are proof alone people either marry for the wrong reasons or the wrong people. i personally am not a big fan of marriage - i enjoy being in love and passion way too much to be bothered... joywish	Posted Jul 10th, 2009 at 10:11AM I didn't get married for one particular reason. It felt like the natural thing to do and that feeling was VERY overwhelming. I never regretted it and it certainly hasn't always been a fairy tale. Rated: +1Vote for this!
