Men: how do you feel about women taking the lead?

when it comes to calling you or asking you out, for example? do you mind if the woman takes the lead or is this something you'd rather do? do you think it's the man's job? why or why not?

When I was younger and looking, I would have given anything for a girl to ask me out (I was so tired of the rejections and growing extremely tired of the chase). It finally happened ONCE in my life....well, I was the one who asked her out but SHE was the one who approached me first....I married that girl and have never been happier. So I think its perfectly okay for a girl/woman to make the first move, and Im sure there are still plenty of guys who would appreciate and welcome it as well.

I know I am not of the male persuasion, but my picture is of a man. Does that mean I get to answer?? Yippee. I say that men find it flattering when a woman makes the first move. Do you see I didn't say pursue, just makes a move. ;)

One of the reasons I enjoy older women so much more is they know what they want. They have a confidence in their sexuality that is missing from 20 somethings. I would be delighted to be approached first if a woman like that had an interest in me.

A hypothetical situation (which was probably real) A young woman sees a guy she really likes. She is in the same college class. She really wants the guy to ask her out. The guy is kind of shy. He doesn't understand women that much. He missed the signals the girl is sending. They never get together, even though thety were meant for each other.
Fast forward thirty years. The girl has been married twice - to bums. The guy? Three times. They meet somewhere. Both look at the other, wondering why they didn't connect in their youth. It's called a tragedy here in Georgia. It happens all the time.
If you see someone you like, love, want to talk to, think you could bond with, etc., why don't you just walk up to them and say: Hi, my name is Tim; I saw you sitting her and just wanted to talk. Can I sit down?

Nothing wrong with a girl taking the initiative in getting to know a guy, and seeing where it leads. It can be a good thing.

well i'm not a man, obviously;; but my boyfriend. i guess i was the one who did the chasing. i met him, liked him, and then marched myself right over to his house about a week later to tell him how i felt. we hardly knew each other when we started dating. people kept saying it wouldn't last. but we have been going strong for a while now and i can't see myself with anyone but him. he says he never would have asked me out because he felt like i was too good for him, but i consider myself the lucky one. i'm glad i took the lead.

In todays world there are few "male jobs" and few "female jobs".And I'm not talking about the income earning type jobs. I believe that there is nothing wrong with a woman seeing someone she thinks might be the right one for her and taking the first step,or steps.

A woman needs to have an independent side as long as it isn't dominant. I've been married for almost 26 yrs and I've always nutured my wife to be independent, I can't always be there and it's very possible that I will leave this world before her, so she needs to be prepared. Some, if not most of you will not like this next statement but my wife and I have a 50.01/49.99% relationship. We make all our decisions jointly but I only make the final decision when it has to be made.....

I am about as independent as anyone can get. Always have been. But when it comes to an intimate situation, I want the guy to make all the first moves. Makes it way more spicy for me. Not to say that I haven't ever taken the lead, I just don't enjoy that anywhere near as much.

I think it's really attractive if it works both ways, in a relationship. Guys like to be chased too. It should never be one way, but the man should always let a woman know that he wants her in his life~ ALWAYS!

I think men should be able to play hard-to-get as well. Being chased isn't too bad :D

I find it a turn on. I have a fetish for older more assertive women. A good confident women is that much sexier in my book. They enjoy your wondering personality and them taking the lead and showing me all that I haven't learned is the best school of life.
I also dig the fact that they know just what they want, how they want it and so no wondering about am I doing a good job.

Well i can tell you that from my experience as a female that men find it refreshing and a turn on. They are not use to a woman that has that kind of confindence within herself. So, if you have the courage and the gumption to do it then go for it.

I am fine with a woman taking the lead. I do not need feel the need to always be in control or have my way all the time. Besides its nice to be chased, rather than do all the chasing.
