Men: what are some of the reasons that you've stood a woman up?

why do guys stand women up? it's one thing if some kind of emergency came up and you let the woman know that you have to cancel but, barring that, why would you stand a woman up?

I've stood up a woman once. She was manipulative and made sure everyone knew I would be with her on a Friday night. She thought I'd be too weak-willed to resist her bullshit.

I stood her up. She told everyone she knew what a rude ******* I was. Whatever.

Does the concept of manners strike a familiar note? I have never stood a woman up ... EVER.

I can remember one time when a woman was unable to meet me as promised, but she had a pretty reasonable excuse - the crash of that American Airlines jet back in 2000-something which shut down NYC and cut off her means to get to me

Never have and I cant answer for other men. I dont know of any reason to without at least a phone call.

When I was 19 I was a big time coke fiend and the bar near work let me drink. I'd go to the bar after work, get coked up, have a few cocktails, then lose track of time since I was too busy partying. I'd call the girlfriend and say "I'll be there soon", but the partying would continue. Next thing you know it would be midnight and I'd stood her up. I was a total Jerk! I so regret having done that, especially since it happened a few times. She didn't deserve it.

i would never do that purposely. I have dont it accidentally because couldnt get in touch with her to tell her i couldnt make it.

the usual reason is that we are afraid that women will use us.(happened to me several times) So that is the time that we cut and run. I hope this helped you!

I once ran two miles to see a girl, but then my phone died and I couldn't find her :/ I don't think it counts as my fault :/
