Michelle - that's the way her name is spelled was saying she was proud to be an American because for the first time in any of our lives we finally have an African/American man running for the top office in our land. I for one am glad I will live to see it happen. She was also referring to the fact that with people like Hillary Clinton the glass ceiling for her daughters is being broken.

mejustcurious	Posted Feb 5th, 2009 at 5:58PM This like so many statements were taken out of context. When you hear a comment that moves you, look to the source, listen to the ENTIRE speech. If its so far off base, and if it bothers you, get past the sound bytes...LOOK TO THE SOURCE, use the web, you can find any thing anyone said that make the news being said by the person. void00	Posted Feb 5th, 2009 at 5:58PM She made the same basic speech twice, but in one speech she said she was "really proud" and in the other she said she was "proud". I haven't seen the whole speech but I can see why that particular comment would have people all riled up. Didn't she know beforehand that people were going to pick the bits out of everything she said? And why is she making speeches anyway? Is she running for President or something?
