Resolved Question

Movie recomendations?

I love movies of all kinds - except horror.

And if they're out on DVD even better.

Anyone seen anything good lately?

If you haven't seen it by now, you have to rent "Slumdog Millionaire." It's out on DVD, and it won the Oscar for best picture. It's brilliant.

Another good one I've seen that should be out on DVD is "Defiance." It's about a Jewish community that lived in the woods during WWII to hide from the Nazis. It is SO emotionally intense, but very much worth seeing.

I really want to see "Revolutionary Road," too, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I don't know if it's any good or not...

It's not a recent movie, but I will always recommend "Harvey". James Stewart is SOOO charming and sweet in this film.

Banana!! You could totally be my movie buddy!

I don't know if you like foreign films, but that's what I can recommend.
Vicky, Cristina Barcelona (romance, funny)
Turtles Can Fly (harsh but it does show a side of things nobody else wants to see here in US)
Pan's Labyrinth (not horror but it does have a creepy monster part in it),
Love in the Time of Cholera. (story of love, war, etc)
Without the King (documentary about the last ruling king in the world, it's a lot less dense and it's entertaining)
Some Hollywood ones I've like are: American Gangster, The Departed, Crash.

:o)
