My boyfriend just broke up with me but i just dont quite understand?
my boyfriend just broke up with me he says he needs to work on himself plus his grandma is not doing that well. I mean, i thought being in a relationship was also about helping and building eachother up and it feels like he won't let me help him. he also says i dont get to see you much, well it's really hard when he works 2 jobs till 1am, i live about 45 minutes away plus he seems to have some sort of project going on when he's not working. I really care about him and we've been together almost a year. i just really don't understand and i'm not sure how to handle it....
also i could just use someone to talk to, so maybe even just an email would help...

It sounds like a bad rap.... I am really sorry to say this... really.... but in my opinion he is not interested in you... but that doesn't mean you yourself aren't, but that is another story. you are your own person. you make your own rules. you do things. Personally if he doesn't want you around at a time like this... how is he going to be further down the road?

it sounds like hes going through a rough and stressful time and just needs a break.. a relationship isnt absolutely necessary so hes checking stressful things off the list that he doesnt need right now to reduce his stress level.. witch is smart on both of your behalves..i know it sounds kinda mean but he has more important things to think about than being in a relationship, 2 job and an ill family member with a project on the side..maybe letting you go was the best idea.. a relationship take alot of work and time and attention and passion and he may feel hes not able to do that for you right now.. with his scheduled the relationship may have fallin apart anyways in time better to let it go sooner than later when you really do get invested into each other..
so when he says he needs to work on himself he probably means he needs to get through his stress and relax and refind himself because stress can really change a person
but yes your right relationships are about building eachother up but sometimes you cant build anything up if you have nothing to work with and he may need time to give you somthing to work with..
just give him space.. a few months and im sure once things in his life are right again he will come back to you and if not than youll find somthing better that you deserve :)
