    Was is a closed adoption? If so I wouldn't try without consulting someone who knows the legality of that. There might be several legal problems. Otherwise, you are more than likely listed on more than half a dozen peoplesearch sites. Trust me, if you have a mailing address and don't change your name. (And the adoptive parents give the child your original name) They'll be able to find you.
