    I think anything your doctor does to help him get your nephew a proper diagnosis is a good thing. If he has to jump up and down on one leg and recite the alphabet backwards, then so be it. Breakthroughs in medicine usually don't happen in the way we think they should happen.

    The problem is when someone who's not a doctor googles a symptom and thinks he can understand everything.

    Doctors cant be expected to know everything so if they Google it OK but as long as they go into more depth before writing prescriptions etc.

    When my boss wants information he can't find, he tells me to go on google to look it up. Google is like the universal means to find and locate information on just about everything. I think it was good for the doctor to get as much information as he could concerning your nephew; he may be a doctor, but he can still learn something new once in a while.
