Many dogs have food or seasonal allergies. You can ask your vet for more information, testing, and for remedy options. <br />
- My dogs are both allergic to grain in processed dog food and grass. Pathetic, right? A dog allergic to grass? It's not that uncommon either. We give them a balanced diet of dog-safe human food, brown rice, mixed veggies, and beef hot dogs or chicken breast. When my seasonal allergies start to flair up, my dogs start sneezing, getting runny noses, and chew their paws because they itch after being outside. Low dose Benedryl is safe for dogs, and there are dog-specific medications out there too. For minor days, we put a little coconut oil on their paws to help relieve the pain.
