    His sugar might go up but I would tell him to do the testing every few hours for like the next 24 hrs to make sure.

    ok ,he told me that hes missed about 4-5 days worth on novo rapid and he feels fine and hes only taking the nighttime medication,thing is hes supposed totake both and hes only taking 1 :(

    Novo rapid is supposed to be taken before his meals. He really need to try and follow doctor's orders on this. He has to be disciplined about his routine. You really a great friend to worry about him. He needs to take this seriously.

    It's not missing his shots that matters it is what his sugar level is when he tests it.
    If his sugar is between 60 and 130 he does not need a shot anything over 140 he should have a chart or know how much he needs to take.

    its good you are concerned about this- taking care of insulin levels is really important for people who have diabetes - over time they can have serious issues like loss of sight and loss of limbs. Encourage him/her to take the medicien regularly!
