My husband had a divorce letter sent to me. he then changed his mind. can i trust him?

he is helping out more, answers his phone again, gave me a hug, bought me a present. though he doesn't want any intimacy. he still seems distant. i am uncomfortable around him because i don't know how to act. he said he is giving it some time to see if we can reconcile because that's what i want. he also said he would go to couseling but doesn't know if it will work. i'm confused. he's giving me mixed messages. has anyone experienced something similar to this or have any ideas?

Just ask him to spell it all out to you in simple terms. I'm sure we could all give you advice on what we think, but only he really knows. Tell him to respect you with the truth even if he fears it will hurt you.

I think he loves you and doesnt want to hurt you, but on the same hand he is struggling and unsure of what he wants. If you want your marriage, a little effort on your part might be worth volumes.
