Two people get married. They do NOT become one, contrary to myth and fairy tale. You each need time away frm each other, you do not have to share the same friends, guys and gals are different (gals bond by talking together, guys bond by doing together). Like Kahlil Gibra says, "Let there be spaces in your togetherness."

well, duh...... you think you'd be cool if he went out with a 'girl' friend and you were not included? Don't tell me you aren't really this ignorant about this situation. He thinks you feel embarrassed by him? - no, honey, he thinks you're cheating! If you two are normal. If you go out w/ a male friend w/o your husband and you think that's ok, and his biggest fear is you might be embarrassed by him? - then carry on, you deserve each other .... yeesh! If you married the man I love and did that, you wouldn't be married any longer than it took for him to leave! Don't know how, but you seem to be stupid and very lucky at the same time.

Speaking as someone prone to insecurity, I'd worry you were embarrassed by me, or thought they wouldn't like me. So I'd have appreciated you telling me why. So long as you just felt like a girls' night out, though, I'd relax. :)
