If he's 12 and doesn't know, do you lock him in a cell?
Only if he asks again. Don't hide a truth that can easily be found out.
Why does he need to know that it was kids?
you would think the whole school would have known it was kids... and those kids i believe were younger than him in a lower grade, im sure he wouldve heard about it, are you sure maybe he just doesnt want to talk about it?
There are things you cannot tell 12 year old kid, in this case since its all over the news, It's better that he hears it from a reliable source.
it doesn't matter. he's not a baby. if he doesn't know already, he probably doesn't care enough to be interested.
Have you locked him in a ba
Um, where are your parents and...he's 12, it isn't that young.
Why would you need to tell him? Does it actually affect him?
Well if he does not ask then there is no need :) No point in upsetting the little lad.
He will be upset and destroyed if he hears about it somewhere else before you. If he's scared say a few white lies, for his safety...
But he is already does not want to go to school, telling him that will make it a lot worse.
Him going though it slowly and carefully with someone he can trust will help him. If he hears it from his friends, they will say everything and not care about what he thinks about school.
Kids will probably be talking about Christmas not something that happened nearly 2 months prior.
He's probably far desensitized enough already for it not to effect him. That's the side-effect to these shock stories. There's so many of them, that now we're unable to have that profound shock that we used to have.
why not I doubt it'll make any difference to a child.
Why do you feel the need to do that?
FFS wake up he alreadys know
