In the UK most politicians have either been to public school or Oxford/Cambridge.... cadets etc play a big part in these establishments..... they are all warmongers to a man/woman. Why not send them to do something useful like help out in a 3rd World orphanage or a soup kitchen?

Good idea, but what happens if the Prime minister goes and get's shot? It will stop people becoming politicians. It will mean you have to be a politician, so you can keep up with the army. If all our politicians get shot we'll have to hold more elections which wastes money if the people we elect are going to be deployed to another country and try to run ours from there and still avoid getting killed at the same time.
