Sometimes kids are clever than us...
And you take him seriously? Factors like genetics, overall nutrition, exercise, not smoking, drinking too much alcohol, etc are more determinable of your longevity.
Unless you are diabetic or have hypoglycemia, he's being overprotective...
Which is kinda cute.
Tell him that treats in moderation are ok, and that you eat well otherwise.
(...Which I sincerely hope is the truth...)
i`ve made it to 41 with one hell of a sweet tooth. unless one is diabetic, one will be ok with some sugar long as it`s in moderation. after all, our brains run on glucose. you have to get some even if you are diabetic..........
back then people had real sugar, now it's all corn syrup.. that stuff damages your liver... http://www.globalhealingcenter.com/natural-health/high-fructose-corn-syrup-dangers/ Some doctors have been warning us - like they did back in the day with cigarettes and not everyone believed them until more and more people succumbed to the effects of smoking.
i believe it`s bad for you but in moderation, i believe one can have some and be ok. we are all going to croak one day anyway........
Remove the label, or pour the juice in an unmarked container...now it has zero grams sugar!
and who is it that you are kidding?
Just trying to help...
lol, there ya go!
So sugar is bad but so are many other things. It is all about moderation but it is nice he is concerned.

Chug the whole bottle and then throw yourself to the floor in a mock seizure.
Measure the sugar content of the ketchup he uses...measure the sugar content of his favorite cereal and the sugar content of his orange juice, and if he eats chips with BBQ flavoring on them, measure the sugar content of his chips and the bread he eats....the muffins he has...the cookies he eats...sugar and high fructose corn syrup are the same thing, BTW...
He is right.
