My therapist told me to hold an imaginary cat and pretend to rub it when I get angry or upset. Who needs therapy more?

I tried it. It works but when I stop stroking my fake cat I get angry again. Ask your therapist for more advice and come back to me. Maybe if I grab my cats tail and swing him round and round really fast and if I throw him as if I'm in the olympics...I'll feel better?

I suppose if you like cats that would make sense. Anything that can distract you is a good thing.

My therapist cries after every session, except the last one.

That's crazy.
Those imaginary cats can claw the heck out of you. Besides, they leave their hair in your lap.
