Never go to bed angry?

I go to bed mad/irritated and wake up all better. I see no problem with this in my case but who believes in this? Does it work for all couples or just something from a bible verse?

you may believe you're all better and perhaps you are but perhaps the lingering resentment builds up eventually ...for some anyway...

That's an old saying for married couples. The idea is to make peace with each other before going to sleep. It makes for a better marriage and shows respect for your mate. That's one of the many qualities needed to stay married for a lifetime. I truly believe in this saying.

I always try not to go to bed angry and like someone said sex is a positive for not bein angry anymore. The times I have gone to bed angry I have stayed like that for days and just can't seem to see past my own two feet.

The danger of going to bed angry is the rage inside of you can continue to build up.

My mother told me that on my weding day, through the years,I feel it helps in a relationship.I don't like going to bed with out a hug or kiss, because I think to much and wake up wonder why it ever got to that point.Another piont my mother used to say was "don't let the sun go down on your wrath",it means pretty much the same to me.

Sleeping does clear the mind, but it can also let emotional wounds fester (at least for me - I can't sleep with unresolved issues, so I worry them all night).

You're right it can fester but I hate being worried and stressed so I try to avoid it and sleep works great. Unless like someone mentioned before, it turns up in my dreams which is rare.

Never go to bed distraught. I've went to sleep upset, and woke up fine, but if I'm like, ON FIRE about something, I wake up in a bad mood.
