Perhaps he is just not the person for you, it sounds as if he has a subservient nature, and that in itself is a good thing. But if you both are subservient, then maybe you need to bring a third person into the relationship, a dominant person, someone to give orders to you and lead you in all aspects of your life. This person could be either male or female, it shoudn't matter. The relationship with this third person doesn't even need to be sexual, unless both of you want it to be. But don't wait for your hubby to become dominant, he never will be, and you will never become a dominant person either. Actually the majority of women and men would love to have a man like your hubby, so treasure him.

I agree - it sounds like you married a beta male. From your language it also seems like you are leaning towards a Domestic Discipline type of relationship rather than TiH. While there are aspects that bleed over, DD deals more with "rights" and submission to a master. TiH is more like a 1950s relationship 's marriage with traditional roles with men being strong leaders and women being feminine. Women are equal. The problems arise when women are not treated differently. Note I said differently not badly.
