I look at EP as a place to reveal my inner self to others that share my likes and dislikes without being judged(most of the time), but it is still no excuse to be disrespectful of others that may not share my views(ie pervs)

Yes, this is a microcosm of the internet and in order for people to get along it's good to remember that everyone is entitled to express their views on EP unless they are abusive to others.
Nobody should set out to hurt others no matter how different their opinions are.
Also, you need to use good social manners, show tolerance for the diversity of opinion and to acknowledge that other people have sensitivities too.
We all need to respect each other on here and the reward is that you will see some interesting, fascinating and wonderful things written. It's worth it.Like (1)
