I used to smoke but managed to quit by eating lollypops. They gave something for my mouth and hand to do.

From experience, I'd say just go cold turkey. Make a decision, it's your choice and don't let anyone or anything make you change that choice. Be determined and think of the money you would saving. No, it won't be easy and to this day sometimes when I smell a cigarette being lit up outdoors, i still crave one but I know that I couldn't just have the one so I make the decision not to. If it helps, take a cigarette and open it up, take a look at it and make yourself realise that this pile of tobacco is just that. A pile of tobacco, it's that pile that is influencing your mind. You are stronger than that.
