Not cool EP!!! (integration with Facebook~pls read more)
I often get on EP from my iPod while trying to get sleepy in bed and that's always worked out fine for me until last night I was on EP and I clicked "good question" to rate a question up and the next thing I know I have new Facebook activity.
I check it out and see that one of my friends "liked" a new activity of mine. I was shocked when I found out that the new activity was Facebook posting where I "liked" a question on EP!!!
I do not want any of my family or friends to know I even come on here so this really disturbed me!
There's no option that I see to opt IN or OUT of this stupid Facebook integration. The EP page showed ZERO signs that it was even integrated with Facebook so I had no warning...
I did NOT authorize this integration and I am NOT happy about this at all!!!
I also wanted to warn you guys, maybe it's just EP's mobile site but still it SUCKS!
I don't come to EP very often but I'll definitely be coming a LOT less and probably NEVER on my iPod again...
**As someone pointed out since I was on my iPod it's POSSIBLE that my finger accidentally hit the wrong link, instead of "good question" as I meant to hit my finger could have inadvertently hit the "like" button.
But even so I NEVER gave EP my facebook details, EP should have asked me to verify this action since they didn't have my facebook account info. It should have at least asked me to sign in and then asked for permission to link my accounts!**

Facebook is becoming the new walmart. I am getting sick of this crap. EP is suppose to be different than all that other stuff I come here for the privacy.

The only thing I clicked on was the "good question" link~I didn't click the "like" button. It's possible there was a slip and maybe my finger hit the wrong thing, if that's all it was then I'll be REALLY relieved! Thanks for tossing out this suggestion. I feel a little better already! ;)

See if the intergration happened in your phone or on Facebook. Check facebook apps and see if EP is in the 'full list'. I rooted my phone just to delete facebook.

when you open the apps list under settings, it only shows you active or current. you have to change the little pull down to 'full list' (or however they named it) to show you all the apps and web pages that are taking your info.

The emails are different actually. :( I think it's just because I have the facebook app on my iPod but EP still should have asked for my permission to tie the accounts. Most other places do, it upsets me that EP just automatically ties them together.

Yeah thats your fault. There are check boxes and two like buttons one with a facebook logo on the sodding button and one without. And u had to give them your facebook details in the first place why do you think they asked for them.

No, I never gave EP my Facebook details! It is possible that my finger hit the wrong link on my iPod though as someone already pointed out. I hope that's the case but still, I never gave EP my FB details so it should have asked me to log in first and tie my accounts together... it never did.

Fakebook is the first step of the machines taking over... I've noticed this before. The best way is to either delete your fakebook account, or just never go there. I avoid it like the plague... EP is much better all around. I found that there was a reason that I left all those people behind!
