Amy Winehouse will be remembered.
Who the heck is that? I've heard her name a couple of times recently. What does she sing?
Oh, yeah. She was English and most folks on here are American. Anyway, most of the world will remember her.
I agree. She made much better music than her hit songs that made it to the US.
[..better than her hits..] is usually the case.
I think everyone will be remembered unless an artist was just a one hit wonder. Whether or not they have talent is another story.
I'm pretty sure Lady Gaga will be remembered for a long time, she's more influential than people give her credit for. BUt yeah, I generally agree. Music has been kind of in a holding pattern for the last 20 years and so there haven't been any huge artists to shake things up.
I think Radiohead, hate them or love them, are probably going to stay.
AC/DC..they transcend all generations, and flat out can still Rock.
Define Nowadays... are you talking like Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Metallica, System of A down, incubus...<br />
Newer... I don't really listen to much but... Def Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts, Christina Aguilera has been huge for a long time, thats not gonna go away, Many more but its so late... I can't think straight.
lol. Totally agree. Maybe Madonna or.a.few current but not many. Adele might have a footing but two decades? Unlikely..
Mariah Carey, maybe.
I guess we'll see in twenty years who was just the fluff.
I first heard A R Rahman in 1992 or so, I am still a fan, even if had not won the Oscar in 2008 for Slumdog Millionaire, I would have been his fan. Some good music, like Roja, is timeless, I think.
