I once went into a burning house and saved some peoples life's and the very people treated me like **** So always remember there is no true gratitude in this world ...

Of course I'd save the child. My heart and soul would be going in to making sure the poor dear is okay. I wouldn't care if got damaged doing so. :)

Are you sure you know how? I'm with captain kirk, it's unfounded to assume that there really is such a thing as a no win situation. Life is not a zero sum game. If I knew what to do...I would probably try...if I didn't I would likely freeze. But, one could always have an unforeseen ahha moment and help.

Any day. The life saved is worth more even if the cost is a limb. And it would haunt me to my grave if I let somebody die and could have done something about it.
