there are no rules and don't kill yourself "being appropriate"...whenever you find a right person and whenever you feel like you can move on...My ex husband was married 2 month after we got divorced...so...people are different.

For propriety's sake, 2-3 years. Otherwise the new spouse risks being viewed as a homewrecker.

I think that it varies with each person. I think that while you are still married (even if you are separated), you are not going to be able to give 100% to each other because the old ties haven't been cut yet, part of you in some way, is still with your spouse. So, personally, I think that after the divorce is final and you have taken care of all the legal stuff and went your separate ways, you should give a new relationship some time before you jump in to it right away. Give yourself the time it needs to heal, and to grow appropriately, and most importantly, give yourself some time to identify the mistakes that were made, and learn from them...

Depends on the circumstances of the divorce and how long you've known the new person.

It could be the next day, or even the same day. I suppose it would depend on how long the new relation has been going on. I would say as a general rule a couple should be together for five years before getting married.

that is something only you can decide. You have to decide if you really are ready. If you really want it. and if you are emotionaly ready and stable for it.

A lot of couples get divorced because they have already found a new partner so straightaway is ok, unless you are of a religion which forbids you ever marrying again after a divorce.
