I think I'm scared that she'll miss me for a few days... but that she'll also become more defensive. It's tricky. Thank you :)

call her
You will thank me later

You will only ever be the bigger person if you are the one who did no wrong. But there is nothing wrong in missing her and regretting whatever it was that happened. A lot depends on your relationship, but either of you being headstrong isn't going to get you anywhere. Why can't you simply be honest about your feelings ???

Look … You miss her, you want her back and you regret what happened and so you really need to put things right (as much as you can.) So why not email her with, something like, those words?

But remember, you can ONLY do this if you are prepared to forget whatever it is that happened. It's no good getting back into speaking terms if all you are going to do is harbour a grudge because she didn't apologise. Forget it and tell her you miss her, or, leave things as they are IF you feel she did something hurtful to you and (hopefully) you will both see sense sooner than later and get whatever it is thrashed out so that you can both get over it. In short? Don't give in for the sake of it.
I think this is the best and simplest advice yet. You're absolutely right. Thank you :)

It's a good idea. Thank you :)

Communicating is never a sign of weakness. Call, not to apologize, but to reach an understanding as to what happened. Why you took the position that you did and that it was not meant to hurt her. Find out what button you pushed and how you can have the same discussion again without the hurt feelings. Each one of these calls will bring you closer together.

This is very good advice too. I do appreciate it. Thank you :)

Only if you want to talk to her again.
But wait until you're no longer upset.

If I do that, it might take a while... ;)
