Resolved Question

Ok, this is more metaphysical or religious. Here is my question for the believers in God.?

If no one but all good and pure is allowed near God, and its told that Satan got prideful...How could that be? Since only the purist are allowed near God. Why in the world above, did God allow such a negative archangel to survive?

Some say that God wanted to play God, have a little fun playing chess so to speak. But I wonder how something bad came to be in the perfection of heaven. After all, Lucifer was an archangel in the heavenly courts?

How did such a bad egg get there in the first place.

Understanding of course, that we all strive to go to heaven. Then you wonder, what was he doing there anyway? did he all of a sudden go bad? Weird.

Im not asking this to confuse anyone, it just occured to me. Curious. Any bible scholars care to elaborate on this to clear this up? I knew I'd get VendettaA12 going! lol

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. (Isaiah 45:7, KJV)

And where we end up depends on our own choices.
Free will is the very basis of human nature and God gave the angels free will as well. Satan made a choice and he wasn't the only one- many angels followed him. So in revealing him, it also revealed the entire army of bad eggs that were once on the good side. There is a bad use for everything and anything. Could God have created everything static and unchangeable- yes but then free will wouldn't exist, and free will is the greatest good and the greatest gift of all.

Here is a great passage that explains how it is all about the bottom line:

"How could God allow for love without the potential for evil? God could have created robots that do nothing more than forever say, "I love you, I love you, I love you." But such creatures would be incapable of a real love relationship. Love is a choice, and the Bible says God desires a real love relationship with His creation. Love is not real unless was have the ability to not love. One of God's attributes is omniscience. God knew that in a world with choice, there would be much evil -- to choose not to love is evil by definition. However, there would also be the capacity for real love. Philosopher Alvin Plantinga writes, "An all loving, all powerful, all knowing Being could permit as much evil as He pleased without forfeiting His claim to being all loving, so long as for every evil state of affairs He permits there is an accompanying greater good". The potential for love out weighs the existence of evil, especially if evil can only exist for a time."

For God so loved the world that gave his only begotten son- that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16).

Fate can hold us back in life, trap us, even destroy us, but every single moment of our life is a choice between good and evil and it is our free will that allows us to make that choice freely and to know the truth in the ground of our being regarding what life is really all about.

It wasn't that God allowed Lucifer to become evil, it is that God gave everyone the gift of free will, and Lucifer used his own free will to think himself better than God. And it's a proven fact no matter where in the whole universe and beyond that when some beings get power they will let it go to their head.

You don't need a theology degree to realize that it's all made up, so the answers you'll get to this question will ultimately end up being of the variety of "we cannot know the mind of god" and "god works in mysterious ways"....

You are asking a logical question in a belief system that doesn't place a premium on logic. Instead it (religion) places a premium on FAITH in the face of the illogical.

Satan's name is Lucifer. He was created to be the angels angel. He was smart, beautiful, strong, commanding. He was to lead the Angels of heaven. But unfortunately he became to think himself more and more powerful. He believed himself to be as God. A problem many people here on earth have, they are the makers of themselves and they will control what happens to them now and forever. Same as Lucifer. When he believed himself to be powerful enough he rose agianst God and was castout of heaven with his followers 1/3 of the angels, that is a lot. And most of this can be found in the Old Testament not just the new.
For whatever reason God allows Lucifer to have audiance with him ever once in awhile. The story of Job is to show that Lucifer is trying to discredit man at every turn. And God showing that even in the most difficult cercumstances we can lean on God.
And for Vendetta12 if you really read and look you will find more logic in the Bible than in anyother book written. It is simple to call something illogical but another to test it. A extreamly complicated system that we can not explain or duplicate must have a very complicated creator. If it was all so simple and by chance we should have unlocked the mysteries of the universe long ago or are we really just all that stupid.

Even as a Bible-believer, I've wondered that myself...I'd love to have a good answer. I guess the closest thing I agree with here would be Phasmati13's answer, though I still think there might be a better solution.

I believe that Satan was one of the angels God created before there were any humans or our world. They were designed to love and serve God, their creator, and not to have any thought he did not put in their heads. Just to do what he said.
The first possible answer is that what happened with Satan is what you would call "a glitch in the programming." When he was created, something went wrong, eventually causing him to do things he wasn't programmed to do.
Another is that somehow he saw or experienced something the others didn't. This caused him to think in new ways. After all, the angels were living things. Though they were meant to work like robots, they don't always.
At any rate, he eventually could not bear the fact, however he learned or realized that he thought this to be a bad thing, that his purpose was not anything for himself, but just to be someone else's property and be a slave to them. That was not acceptable. It is possible that other angels realized this but accepted it, after all, they were happy in Heaven. They didn't have to think at all or do anything too painful, just listen to God. Satan thought it better to think and to be free, though these things would bring pain and suffering. He already felt the pain of slavery.
But in the Garden of Eden, God's second attempt, he put in a tree that would allow his new creation a way out, if man decided he really didn't like God. He gave man the choice; did everything to prevent him from making a choice, but gave it to him anyway. Why? Perhaps what really drove Satan to actively rebel was that he felt he had no other means of escape. The only way to gain his freedom was to defeat God. Don't get me wrong, he did feel he deserved that position more than God did. But, to the best of his knowledge, God was all-powerful. He could never win. But it was that or nothing. It is possible that God put the tree there because he now wondered if his angels really loved him, and not just because he programmed them that way. If man really hated God, he could leave. Of course, once he did eat the fruit God was in there doing damage control, but that only really started after Adam regretted it.
This is based off my own beliefs, not any organized religion.

God know's mans heart, satan became 'puffed up in pride' and rebelled against god our creator and tryed to'take over', so was thrown down to earth with 1/3 of the rebelling angels with him.

I really don't believe at all that only the purest are allowed near God. I believe in the Son, Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit as one so to speak. I also believe as in the Bible that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." I believe Satan was an angel of God who fell from His grace because he chose from free will to separate himself from God by wanting to be God.
