    I prefer garlic, pepper, salt, cumin, paprika, and a touch of sage

    Um next time buy black beans, and mix it in w white boiled rice and go to any spanish store and buy Salvadorean cheese! Top it w chopped tomato,onions,cilantro,garlic and lemon! Wow!

    I'm in the same situation. Lots of Beef Stew until next week. The food pantry really does help.

    the food pantry was out of almost everything except beans and rice!

    Get some ham hocks...add a little Hatch Green Chili, an onion, oregano, Garlic...you know...stuff.

    A lot of scallions, fresh garlic, cumin, Guinness (really!), hot salsa, and the coop de grass (I do know how it's spelled), Tabasco. And try dirty rice.

    if u have any beef or chicken boullion, cook the rice in bouillion water.... yummy.
