Okay, you tell me (read the details)
It's 31 December of 2012. New Year's Eve is not a company holiday. You don't have personal vacation left. You get sick and you know you are contagious. You go to work. Your boss is there coughing as well. You continue going to work sick for 2 weeks, missing only two days when fever strikes and weakness wipes you out. Then you show up 14 Jan. The boss sends and e-mail, "Seven people are out sick today. If you are not feeling well, go home and don't pass it around." I'm going to give him a D- for stupidity. Am I being too forgiving on the grade?

Surely you deserve a share of the grade too? Those 7 other people might not be out sick if you had stayed home when you were ill!

FFS there's no need to rant at me! You clearly have a different system when it comes to sick leave. Here, if we're sick, we ring the boss and apologise for not being well enough to go into work. Don't struggle in and then wait to be sent back home again. If you've made the effort to get to work, you're telling your boss you're well enough to be there.Like (1)
