On and Off with Ex for 7 years!?

I started dating my ex 7 years ago, and it was fast, hot and intense. We stayed together only a short time and things ended abruptly for no particular reason which came up at the time. Later he explained to me he felt intimidated around me, and that I deserved better. Consistently for the past 7 years we have had intense flings, even though we have both moved cities/states. It's a fair balance between who contacts who to reinitiate the relationship. We are both currently in relationships, but things aren't working for either of us, yet we still stay. I can't help but think he's the one. Should I keep going like this? It's just all f*&t.

Sounds like you are being used and if YOU alow it, this man will ruin every relationship you ever have. You will end up old and lonely. He will not be around then!

You know, the word Ex = Excommunicating someone from your life.

Actually, he is STILL your bf/hubby/whatever the hell will make you sleep at night better. Face up to it, he is still in your life, that means your still with him.

Kick him out, stop taking his calls, and move on with your life. Dont fool yourself, him or anyone else.

meet 2o years on and off now married, I still love him, him not so much me right now, but after 25 years I know it will heat up agaain

What you're describing sounds more like codependency than love. Yes, you are correct, it is massively messed up. But if you really wanted to cut it off with him, you would have by now, so you're getting something out of this bizarre relationship. Be honest with yourself and cut loose of the guy you're with now if you can't let go of the Ex.
