On EP you can do a search in search bar and sometimes you find a topic heading but no posts. whats the deal?

Yeah like sometimes I just do a random search about things of interest
in the EP search bar. Just to see if there are some discussions about that
topic. but sometimes I come to like the Heading of a topic
but there are no posts about it. If nobody is posting about a subject
then why does it pop up in the search? what determines what subjects
to pop up in the search bar?

just curious.
